Over the last week Verizon's internal network has been experiencing difficulties. Symptoms include poor throughput and low to moderate packet loss on some Verizon DSL circuits. Updated April 7, 2006
Verizon is aware of this issue and is working to resolve the matter. Note that this is an internal Verizon Network problem, and not an issue on Avvanta's own network, our upstream connections, or individual customer phone lines. The problem exists in the ATM network layer between the affected central office locations and our network. Verizon has not provided an estimated time of repair for this issue. We will update this notice as information becomes available.
Update: Resolved.
Most of the known problems have been resolved over the last two weeks by Verizon Advanced Data. If your Verizon circuit has been performing poorly during this time and you have not seen an improvement this week please contact Avvanta Support and we can have Verizon investigate specific circuits.
