Wednesday morning (Jan 23) saw a repeat of the same file system issue that occurred a few weeks ago. While we had updated our monitoring tools to watch for this type of system issue they unfortunately did not work as intended.
The nature of monitoring tools is that testing is problematic. The error you're monitoring for has to actually exist to see if the monitors "really" work as we think they should. We've updated the monitoring and we also may have determined what's been causing the file system problem to begin with and resolved that as well. (For those curious a bug apparently exists within the file system in use that only occurs when a directory contains 1 million or more files and subdirectories) Our apologies for the inconvenience.
