Qwest DSL Circuit Maintenance Delayed

The circuits that serve QWEST DSL connections are being changed during a 48 hour window, starting October 18th, at 8:00AM PDT.

UPDATE: Qwest has notified us that this procedure will not occur today as scheduled.

This circuit move has been delayed until at least October 25th. We will again notify all affected customers when we receive confirmation of the circuit move from Qwest.

The remainder of this notification is being left here for archival purposes only and is no longer applicable.

This change will cause an interruption in Qwest DSL service during this time period.

Verizon DSL and Dial-up service will not be affected by this interruption.

Unfortunately this interruption is unavoidable and beyond Avvanta's control as the change is being completed by the circuit provider. The intent of this change is to strengthen Avvanta's current DSL stability and should not require any action on your part. The disruption in service will occur sometime during the 48 hour window but the disruption in your service will only last approximately 30 minutes.

Please ensure that your Internet equipment is performing no critical updates, backups, or other activities over your connection during this time frame. We will endeavor to keep any interruption as brief as possible. All outage times are estimates based on expected outcomes of the work being performed and previous experience performing the same or similar work. There is always the possibility of some unforeseen bug or problem that could extend the outage time. Engineers will make every effort to correct the problem or implement the back out plan quickly if something occurs.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused during this change, but feel that the resulting reliability of the systems will greatly benefit all of our customers. If you have any questions on this upgrade, please contact Technical Support at 1 (888) 662-5274, or by e-mail at support@avvanta.com.

Thank you for your continued support.

When we moved our network center last month we moved into the ISOMEDIA NOC, in the Westin Building, downtown Seattle.

Unfortunately last night the circuit cut-over notification they sent to notify us of the cut-over schedule we turned around and mistakenly sent out verbatim. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
