- The modem rental promotion is optional. If the modem rental promotion is accepted and DSL service is terminated before the end of the year of free rental service the customer will be assessed a $25.00 restocking fee and the unbilled modem rental charges (the full monthly rate of the modem for every month the customer has had the modem).
