News Servers:- news.avvanta.com: Normal access, no authentication required. Must be using an Avvanta DSL connection (Basic, Standard, or SOHO).
- nntp.avvanta.com: Authenticated access only. This server is intended to be accessed by Avvanta Dial-up accounts or from outside our network and requires your Avvanta username and password to access. The username must be your primary username and be your full email address, ie, (johndoe@avvanta.com or janedoe@blarg.net).
 The nntp.avvanta.com server can be accessed from any network connection.
MyMail, Telnet/Shell, MyWeb, and Basic DSL accounts cannot be used to log in to the authenticated news server. Basic DSL accounts should use the non-authenticated news server when using their DSL connection. Telnet/Shell accounts can continue to use the normal non-authenticated news server when logged in to the shell server. |
