CCC/AvvantaMail
The Communications Control Center (CCC) enables you to read your email from any standard internet connection, manage your account, setup autoresponders, control your email filters, and much, much more. It can be accessed from www.avvantamail.com.
Outlook 2000 Email Setup
Start Outlook. From the Tools menu, select Accounts.

If you do not have an Accounts option, you will need to reconfigure Outlook for Internet Mail support before you will be able to proceed.

From the Internet Accounts window, click on the Mail tab. Click the Add button and select Mail from the drop down menu to bring up the Account Setup Wizard.

Enter your name in the Display Name field how you would like it to appear on messages sent from you. This will appear next to your email address on all messages you send. It does not have to be your full name.

Once you have entered your name, click Next.

Enter your email address in the E-mail address field then click Next.

For the type of mail server, select POP3 from the list. For the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server enter mail.avvanta.com. For the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server enter mail.avvanta.com.

After entering the server information, click Next.

For the POP account name enter your username. This is the first part of your email address. Do not include @avvanta.com as part of your account name. Outlook should have this already filled in correctly for you.

Enter your password in the Password field and click Next to continue.

Do not check the Log on using Secure Password Authentication box or you will not be able to retrieve your email.

If you are a DSL subscriber select the Connect using my Local Area Network (LAN) option.

If you are a dialup subscriber, or a DSL subscriber using the Intel series DSL modem, select the I will establish my connection manually option.

After selecting the correct option for your connection method, click

Next
to continue.

A Congratulations window will appear, click Finish to save the account and return to the Internet Accounts page.

If you selected to Connect using my Local Area Network (LAN) during the account setup, skip the remaining steps. Outlook is ready to use with your Avvanta account. Click Close to exit the Internet Accounts window.

To ensure that Outlook uses the correct dialup connection for checking your Avvanta email, click one time on the mail.avvanta.com entry then click on the Properties button.

From the properties window, click on the Connections tab.

On the Connections tab, select the option Connect using my phone line. From the list of Dialup Networking connections, select the connection you use to dial up to the Internet, then click on Ok to save your settings and close the properties window.

Outlook is now ready to use with your Avvanta account. Click Close to exit the Internet Accounts window.
