and 641,687 spam messages.
A total of 2,820,712 viruses and 1,771,002,253 spam messages have been
filtered since March 5, 2004.

A Qwest DS3 connecting Qwest DSL circuits to our network dropped at approximately 10am PDT this morning. Qwest engineers are currently working on the issue however no estimated time of repair is available yet. We will update this notice as the situation develops. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Update 12:15pm PDT: The circuit is back in service. Qwest engineers will be closely monitoring the circuit for the next 24 hours for any further issues. Thank you for your patience.
We have made a policy change that affects all customers who forward their Avvanta email to outside addresses. This change only affects customers who forward their email but did not already have Advanced Spam Protection enabled.
Avvanta technicians will be performing maintenance to network equipment Thursday, April 16th, between 12:01AM and 4:00AM Pacific Time. During this work there may be a brief disruption of internet connectivity for some customers. Administrators don't expect outages to be any more than a 10-15 minutes each and limited to two occurrences in total as we swap UPS systems. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused during this maintenance.
Internet Security continues to be challenging for everyone and this week is no different, as the latest computer worm has made new headlines in the media. Internet worms, Malware, and Phishing attacks are on the rise making it important everyone stay vigilant in fighting Internet attacks and scams. Avvanta recommends to all our customers to keep your anti-virus and operating software up to date. In addition, make sure your system is set to do security scans on a regular basis. Security experts are warning that a recent computer virus (named Conficker) that has been spreading very quickly throughout the world may be set to activate itself on April 1st, 2009, and it's no joke.
One of our providers has notified us they will be performing maintenance on circuits that will affect Avvanta customers. The maintenance will be from 12:01am (Pacific) Wed March 18th through 5am Wed March 18th.
